THIS is what I try to teach so much.

WHILE we were STILL sinners, Christ died for us.

Not, once we proved we would stop sinning. Not, after we showed we were worthy of his sacrifice. No. He loved us before we ever even made a move.

Anything people add to this now, takes away from the understanding of the depth of love taught in Ephesians and Romans 8. And when you really, really, REALLY get how much you are loved. You change

I love how God's word shows us time after time examples of Him seeking after those who society would deem as flawed beyond repair. So often it's the woman banished to the desert, or the one who draws water mid-day when no one is around, or the one who "wastes" expensive perfume lavishing it on the feet of her Savior, despite the scorn of those around her. It's those women who He lovingly reaches out to. I'm so grateful to be one of those women.
