I have wondered this about what was happening in Europe in WW2. I have relatives who lived in Germany during this time. They had to hide livestock because several people would report you for it. They remembered hearing scary speeches on the radio. One of my great uncles was from Silesia (Poland).
I had not heard of these 2 people before. I knew about The White Rose group. It's sad when blame for ills is heaped on a person or group.
Yes, Jesus understands betrayal, abandonment, rejection. Thankful He's a stalwart defender.

With a lesson like this, I often find many people are quick to look at others that need to hear it. Those people, the other culture, the other political party, the other sex. Yet, you cannot make a change there and you miss the point. Change starts with you just as Mary said. You do what is right, the simple lesson of Gen 4:7 and John 21:22. That is the only thing within your realm of 'control'.
I can guarantee you, living like this and placing your full weight of faith and trust in Him is the only way to have Peace. Just disappointed it took me too many years before I learned it
I take this very seriously. To think differently, to have a different attitude, it takes practice. Brain muscles that have to be strengthened. I believe immensely in brain science and see much of this reflected in scripture.
I loved the reminder that being hurt or devalued doesn’t give us permission to turn around and dehumanize someone else. We can protect ourselves, set boundaries, and even walk away while still remembering that every person bears the image of God. 💜✨
Less than human was exactly how I felt during my bad experience with low vision assistance at the airport last week. It was as if someone told the assistants, “Those in need of help, whether they have a disability or are elderly, are burdens. If you feel overworked, it’s because of those people. They should be grateful that we help at all. Just put them wherever.”
I find that it helps to chat with them—ask how long they’ve worked at the airport, where they are originally from—and say things that remind them I’m an intelligent adult heading somewhere for an exciting reason. But how sad that people must be reminded (in any scenario), “This is a human being.
